I know how many times you have re-written this piece and listening to the original and this, you seem to be much more settled on the overall vocal track. Very deep.

I really liked this track, lots of effort put into this, but I think you may have missed a trick with your overall effects, which you could have used on a few tracks. Very millennial style Numan/Nu-Metal

Reminded me of both your Dystopian Peace and Tschernobyl tracks.

I know you said you were going for this kind of LA Roux sound on this instrumentation. Not bad and not too to far off from La Roux to be honest.

Interesting, similar vocal effects as Time Goes On. You are definitely getting there Stu

Nice, very commercial. Instrumentation is definitely very interesting.

So you basically took the song which you made around christmas, thought about what lyrics you should write for it (which are very well thought out I may add), you practiced said vocals and you then recorded it using your equipment. My only real thought on the overall vocals are that you may have wanted to do more than a couple of takes which you used for the overall chorus. I see you added a few extra synthesizer lines to the overall song, including the mid eight. The flow is very good and the vocals are excellent. My only gripe if I may say is that the third chorus vocals were not the most amazing and you should have maybe cut and pasted from one of the previous choruses.

My only pointer on the composition which is a bit weird is that on some systems I have tested this on is that your piano clips like mad and distorts on a few of my cheaper speakers, maybe that could be looked at on any future releases.

Unfortunately it seems the subject of this song and the whole subject of mortality isn't always the best subject for a lot of people, mainly as people don't want to be reminded of the overall passage of time. But as this was based on you total feelings regarding christmas and you overall hate for social occasions, I believe it fit quite well.

I see that after I listened to it a few times that you added a complimentary synth line on the third piano repeat, just before the first deep bass sound (that bass sound is pretty cool and really adds to the overall atmosphere of the song). To pick it apart further, I liked the addition of the church style organ just before the drop, even though the automation on the volume was a tiny bit sloppy. The string sections from the original version are still great additions, and the fact the bass in the first section before the drop were not that to overbearing. The 2Pac style string section is really cool in the main verse, it really reminded me of California Love by 2Pac, don't ask me why, it really does. The vocal in the build up before the drop into the chorsu could have been increased in volume a bit.

I know that this was the first song which you produced with your new signature vocal effects, at first I thought you had used a light chorus, but then you showed me that you had been doing multi tracking with autotune and a raw track to produce that slightly chorused/vocoder effect, which I think really fit your overall vocal style very well. I see that you've then adapted it for nearly every song you have done after this to great effect. I see that you singing has got much better and in near perfect tune as of recent, so keep going with this vocal direction as it really suits you. I am starting to really like the fact that you aren't completely relying too much on autotunes effects and actually trying to get you vocal right in the first place which I know so many others in the industry do on purpose.

Obviously I have seen your live rendition of this and ask when you maybe if at anytime you may record and release it to the world? It seems like it is becoming you flagship product of your already, interesting and complex live portfolio, I just thought it might be a good version to release on NG.

I am still in love with you mid eight synth sections as well as this versions reinforcement synth lines. Just to say that I saw your version you released on YouTube, and that wasn't this version? The YouTube version may have had a error in it or something as it had a synth line which had seemed to glitch out or something on the main mix down. I don't know if that was a quirk or it was done on purpose, but it just didn't suit it.

Anyway thanks Stu, this project was a lot of fun to work on and we need to do something like this again in the near future.

Hi, how's it going? I checked this as soon as you released thi, I refreshed it five mins later and you had one star score for it? I don't get some people at all! I thought this is amazing and your vocals are not bad at all! Keep on doing what you love Stuart, even though this platform obviously hates everytime you release anything you release with a vocal on (I reckon that twat didn't even listen to it...).

Peace, and carry on you professional legacy!

This was so tear jerking when you showed me that recording on Christmas eve, It reminded me of some really bad times and as I know you picked this subject of time, I think it fits it so well. Loman's studio was really a must for this project and the mix is really well thought out. The verse reminds me of 2Pac, the chorus JMJ and so many more artists then you can poke a stick at. I can't wait until the vocal version comes out. You should consider doing it as a rap piece, which I think would fit really well.

I listen to it now and the emotional reaction it causes me is immense, I never knew such a small riff could turn into such a amazing piece of music. Thanks for your input, and support when I did the vocal (Complete) version.

Good to see you are back to making your art! I really like this, nice and catchy. Only negativity towards it is A.) vocals could have been done in a different pitch, but this is the closest you have ever got to sounding natural. B.) The first chorus sounds slightly muddy and the }power synth sound could be maybe increased. But apart from this I think this is a very interesting and original piece. Any way hope you are well, hope to see you soon.
