So from what gather from your message you were trying to go with the style from the beginning of "The Electronica World Tour, by Jean Michel Jarre"- "Automatic" was the song he played at the beginning, very powerful stuff! But I now look forwards to your next "Concept" as I know you could do better, even though this is a really good song! I hear the JMJ parts in there my only feeling is you might have to remix the SFX busses as they are very low in the mix! I'm also loving the near chip tune style synth you used, I imagine you might have used Vanguard for that? For once your Vocoder is very clear but is pretty loud in the mix, you want to bring that down a few notches and EQ it into a place in the spectrum. So you spoke French which I didn't know you could do, hells knows what you are saying as I don't understand French, "Je mappel" is "my name is" in french, thats about as far as my knowledge goes. You know a bit more practice with the french lyrics you could do an Arcade fire song, Lol! or Enigma, but thats more Latin, than French. But as you said you sent in Concept as a album to be processed for release, I may buy it as I love your on Concept so far!

maxxpump responds:

I can speak enough french to kind of understand what's going on when I'm travelling on the Continent. The chiptune synth of choice was actually Serum. No I don't really want to practice different languages and I think Enigma is a little beyond my reach...but I could easily emulate their instrumentation. Latins a bit of an arse to speak and I'm not really at learning it either.

Arcade fire is very hit and miss in my opinion, I really liked Reflektor as it has Bowie singing and Wake me up again the version with Bowie on it was good, but to be honest I would never do anything remotely like Arcade Fire, there songs are a piece of cake as compositions goes, but I find that kind of soft rock boring as sin to compose and score...

Yes Concept the Album should be out be out in the next few days as well as the re-omitted version of "Heartless" (Which has now funnily enough scored number #9 on MixClouds metal charts yesterday! (its at number forty something now). "Exedist Sings" is now out on Amazon and Spotify, which is a really good album!

I'll mail links later!

Is this for live use? You genuinely brought a tear to my eye, this is very deep maybe a bit too much. I know you've been through alot. this seems to have lots of Bowie references in there, is this actually the case? But yes you now need to practice this for stage!

maxxpump responds:

Good to see your on the ball! There's references to Space oddity, Ashes to Ashes and Lazarus in there, this has very deep lyrics and has been very hard to write it. It is influenced directly from Freedom, and will be used live. But glad it touched you.

Stay weird stewie boy! Sound pretty cool! Don't say this this is what working on all afternoon? Also very bold to add to your Concept series, still not as good as Concept 1.0, I wish you could make like a 1.2 or something that might go down quite well! You know like a extension to the origin file or remix!

maxxpump responds:

Lol, yeah i'm 100% sure if I want to make a remake or remake of the original, I believe that to be pretty boring, yeah it might go down well, but I don't think I could make it sound like original anyway that pretty much a one hit wonder, and it was backed up by that game "partfello" which that guy made, pretty basic game but at least he used pre-master version, as master really cocked the original file up and the one online sounds very distorted unfortunately.

But I am working currently on Concept 4 which takes alot techniques from Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygene sound design, with hints of Equinox and Electronica 2: The Heart of Noise! I want it to have similar sounds to Brick england that track with the Pet Shop Boys on, but at the moment I'm stuck, maybe in the next month maybe, this track will take a lot of research, listening to his music and slowly mapping something out...but there will be a continuation that I WILL be proud of and maybe go down well. But I need to really on my mixing at the moment as a lot of songs I'm making at the moment aren't quite sounding right in the finished product, which really matters a lot to people obviously as you know.

Sorry stu, but I don't think you rehearsed this enough. Don't agree with the other comment though (@NingNangNong).

I gave it a listen sounds more like your live version of last season, only don't like the whistle, your vocal I don't think can get better with your potato of a Rode microphone, still sounds amazing live and such a crowd favourite. I see where your coming with the Senead thing, very similar synth. Erm during the "Sickness through out of my heart" bit you go out of time, is this intentional?

I don't think you're wasting your time, you're just preaching to the wrong audience? Kinda sounds like something Jeff Lynne would make.

Really diggin this album might need a few adjustments here and there, but to be honest I'm really impressed. Got to say I'm not a fan of the overture, but every track there after is pretty epic.

maxxpump responds:

I will be making a few changes to the mixes here and there for next weekends release, really glad you liked it. Thanxs for your help and nearly infinite wisdom, very helpful!

definitely hearing Numan in there, Vocal needs a bit of practice mind, but its a fairly good track, reminds me of a song from "Jagged", mind you Numans poly synths are a lot more deeper than anything I've seen from your work so far. Can't wait for you to release Heartless, will you be releasing the main track a single? I heard the other track on Soundcloud and my god you definitely seem to have this album in the bag. Erased from existence should go pretty well if theirs any numan fan boys of his later works on this site.

maxxpump responds:

I think Heartless is too gooder track to release as a single, so will just keep it as the first song on the album when it's released, possibly in time for next weekend, I'll have to see as I've still got to score about five songs still and not rushing them out either. Erased from Existence is a really good track shame I had to sing it really, but from that song I sent to Beggars even they reckoned I had the potential to have a very similar vocal to Numans, even though I guarantee you that Numan didn't listen to it personally, probably one of the guys running his UK operation. Still its more of a complement than I ever get on here....

you never cease to amaze me, your leads pretty cool, your singing suits this song. You putting that rock metal album up soon? you know the Numan like one as that industrial metal sounded really good! You really know your way around Strawberry guitar, best money you probably ever spent I reckon!

maxxpump responds:

The industrial album as I said last week will be released when its done, I've made four tracks so far and I've still got to do vocal works on it! Might get back to work on it tonight, I'll see what happens...

Like your piano playing and the back up orchestra is good. Don't kick yourself on the vocal, it isn't the best, but maybe get Alan to do it for you, but its clear and understood. nice mid eight!

maxxpump responds:

I don't know if I'd ever do this live so there is not much point asking him to do this.
